The +Services Community deals with everything that concerns project delivery in the company.

The primary purpose of the +Services Community is the consulting practice of Make Positive and is primarily responsible for delivery of “best of breed” solutions to our clients.  The +Services Community is responsible for ALL aspects of solution delivery including: business strategy, change management, project / iteration planning, documentation of business and technical requirements, development, testing, deployment, training and support.  We promote and actively develop our teams’ abilities to deliver across all aspects of a project.  Our administrators get our client salesforce.com orgs humming, our implementation team create and deliver the right solutions, and our developers build the new applications that make our client businesses grow.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The role of an Implementation Consultant is to work alongside your peers as a proxy product owner to ensure your technical peers have a clear understanding of the client requirements.  This role is also responsible for the delivery of Salesforce configuration.  Key attributes to role success are:

In addition, the Implementation Consultant supports the Project Manager on delivery engagements and the Managing Consultant with regards to internal aspects of the role and liaises closely with other managers both internal and external.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Working with clients to identify opportunities to utilise Salesforce to improve business process and results;
  • Conduct analysis of design, evaluation, modification and support testing and implementation of salesforce.com;
  • Analyse business requirements and develop functional requirements/design, clearly stating project scope;
  • Perform application configuration, testing and evaluation to ensure quality and consistency;
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Developers, and Designers on scope, solutions, constraints, and risks;
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and prioritization with client users;
  • Perform Salesforce configuration to ensure as much standard functionality is used in any implementation as possible;
  • Support planning of user acceptance test (UAT), including creation of UAT scripts;
  • Work with clients to design and deliver training materials for train the trainer and end user training purposes.
  • Provide on-going support of existing SFDC Developments
  • Keeping up to date with the latest plans, developments and changes in the salesforce.com platform.  This includes, but is not limited to ensuring you remain certified;

  • Lead by example by adhering to company financial policies regarding time and expense submission and (but not limited to), punctuality, dress code, time and expense submissions, and notification of whereabouts, annual leave and absence;

KEY CAPABILITIES:

  • Degree educated in a relevant business or technical discipline
  • Experience of Multiple Salesforce implementations is a must
  • Experience in Agile Delivery Methodology IN ADDITION to standard the software development lifecycle;
  • Expertise in data modelling and user interface design principles;
  • Experience reviewing and documenting requirements and configuration;
  • Must be willing to travel and spend long periods of time on client site;
  • Strong problem solving skills, should be able to research and understand an undocumented set up and application;
  • Demonstrated experience of end to end system testing and documenting the same.  ;
  • Must be willing to work in a team environment-Effectively;
  • Excellent communication and inter personnel skills;
  • Strong Mentorship Skills and experience;

Desired Capabilities

  • Good understanding of Internet technologies: firewalls, web servers, web proxy servers, etc;
  • Experience of migration from other enterprise systems, such as Siebel, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM applications;
  • Experience/understanding of working with business processes relating to Sales, Customer Service etc?
  • Expertise in Project Management – performing multiple roles within a project to ensure its successful delivery;
  • Experience of leading a project team made up of multiple skill sets made up from internal or external resources;
  • Experience working in a pre-sales capacity to support the +Sales Community is successfully converting an Opportunity to a Project;
